Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of content on Williamson County Criminal History. Continuing to browse means accepting all terms below. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. Williamson County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act purposes. This Tennessee records reference is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently of every public office. It neither stores official records nor retrieves them, conducts an official background check, or files paperwork for a visitor.

Its function is to identify the Williamson County sheriff and courts, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, and other custodians, while also linking to outside research tools. Official access remains governed by laws such as the Tennessee Public Records Act, T.C.A. §§ 10-7-501 through 10-7-515, and the TBI dissemination route in T.C.A. § 38-6-120.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is permitted only if the visitor agrees not to:

  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
  • Violate a federal, Tennessee, or local law through the site
  • Threaten, harass, or stalk anyone with information found here
  • Use site content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
  • Disrupt performance or prevent another visitor from using the pages

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No site content or linked result may be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate. Tennessee's registry act restricts misuse of Tennessee Sex Offender Registry information, and misconduct toward a listed person can carry criminal or civil consequences. Registry publication serves safety awareness, not private punishment or vigilantism.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Williamson County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produces no consumer report, credit report, or background check. Its advertising partners do not offer linked tools for FCRA-regulated decisions. Site or tool data must not be used to:

  • Assess creditworthiness or determine an insurance rate
  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other decision governed by the FCRA

A person with an authorized FCRA purpose must use a properly compliant provider or the official process required for that purpose, not this site.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Tennessee attorney can apply a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement rule to a person's facts.

6. No Warranties

All material is supplied "as is," without a promise that:

  • Partner search results will be complete or correctly matched
  • Every detail will remain accurate and current
  • Pages will always be available without interruption
  • The service will contain no bug, error, or security weakness

Charges, dispositions, sealing, and expungement can change a record after publication. Gaps may remain, and no site statement should be treated as an official position of a court, sheriff, or Tennessee agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to public agencies, courts, legal-aid resources, and outside search services that operate independently. Williamson County Criminal History is not responsible for an external site's content, availability, privacy practices, or price. Its terms should be reviewed before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Williamson County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, distribution, modification, or derivative use requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is not liable for losses arising from its use, including reliance on information supplied here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to indemnify and hold the site harmless from claims or demands caused by that visitor's use or violation of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Tennessee law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to site use must be brought in a court located in Tennessee.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A new version becomes effective when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining terms continue in force. The affected provision is narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
